Blue lotus, also known as blue water lily or Egyptian lotus, is a mythical aquatic plant native to the Nile Delta. The plant has been used for thousands of years by ancient Egyptians for its calming and consciousness-raising properties. It was associated with the goddess Nefertem, who according to myth offered the flower to the sun god Ra to relieve his pain. Blue lotus was used for its healing scent, ritual use, and potentially even as a beverage by steeping it in wine.

Effects:
Provides a mild euphoria and physical relaxation
Can, in higher doses, produce a dreamlike or mildly hallucinogenic state
Said to increase sensuality and potency
Perfect for meditation and quiet evenings
Can be combined with wine for a traditional Egyptian experience

Use:
Tea: 5 grams in hot water
Wine extract: Let 5 grams soak in wine for several hours (not too much – bitter taste)
Vaporizer: 0.25–0.5 grams at 100–125 °C
